Make yourself at home with dominoes
The daily chain puzzle
A new set of eight unique tiles arrives at midnight UTC. Begin at the starting number and connect every tile to the right end. Tiles rotate automatically. There is no time limit.
- Select a tile from your hand. A border marks your selection.
- The right button shows the required number. Match it to connect.
- If stuck, undo and try a different route. Hints search for a route that uses every remaining tile.
Everyone gets the same puzzle for a given date. Changing language keeps your saved progress.
Classic double-six dominoes
Play with the 28 tiles from 0–0 to 6–6. You and the computer each receive seven tiles. The rest form the stock. In this version you lead with any tile, then either player may connect to either end by matching numbers.
Doubles are ordinary tiles: no extra turns or spinners. Empty your hand to win. Two consecutive passes end a blocked round; the lower remaining pip total wins, with equal totals a draw.
The winner scores the opponent’s remaining pips; a draw scores zero. Block mode never uses the stock. This is a single-chain game, not Mexican Train: there are no trains, public markers or double-satisfaction rules.
A little strategy goes a long way
In a puzzle, a legal tile does not always lead to a complete chain. Consider loops and doubles before committing to a dead end. MoveLab checks whether all remaining tiles can still be connected after each choice.
In classic play, shedding high-pip tiles reduces your burden in a blocked round. Keep useful number connections too. The strategist computer evaluates pip value and connections within its own hand; it does not inspect your hidden tiles.
Questions around the table
Do I need an account or an installation?
No. Play free in your browser. Games and records are saved in this browser on this device. There is no account sync or global leaderboard.
Which tiles can I play?
A tile must match the number at the chosen end. The end buttons show the required numbers. Puzzle mode uses the right end; classic uses both. A gold border marks an end available for the selected tile.
Why is there no strategy score?
We do not turn uncertain advice into a made-up score. Puzzles report exact completion feasibility. Classic reviews show a disclosed heuristic, not a win probability or a guarantee of optimal play.
Can I lose saved progress?
Clearing site data, closing a private session, or storage restrictions can remove records. A notice below the game reports storage failures. You can save a result image after finishing.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Use Tab to move between tiles and buttons, then Enter or Space to select. Select a tile, then activate an end button. Dragging is not required. EasyView enlarges tiles and uses numbers.
